where it all began.

Photography captivated my heart about 2 years ago. It all started in my photography class that I took as a junior in high school. In that class, we would take pictures of trees, rocks, and desks around the school… SUPER fun!! (LOL I hated it.) I learned the very basics of how a camera worked, and that was about it. My photography teacher kept telling me how much talent I had, but I always brushed it off because I was taking pictures of dumb things. I didn’t own a camera yet, but my photography teach would let me borrow one every weekend leading up until Christmas that year because I wanted to master how the camera worked. Christmas came and my amazing, hardworking parents got me my first camera. During my junior year, I was also trying to raise money to go on a service trip over the summer. I them came up with the idea that I would take pictures of people and in exchange they would donate towards my trip. THAT is where my burning passion for PEOPLE photography began. It was the human connection. The fact that I got to capture life loving humans. That I got to hang out with new people and make new friends. That right there is the kind of photography that keeps my soul going. Keeps the biggest and brightest smile on my face. Forget about being a National Geographic photographer, I want to be apart of big milestones in your life. I wanna work with REAL people and create REAL connections and memories with people. If you had told 14-year-old Lexie that she would be picking up a camera everyday, meeting people from all across the country, and taking pictures of the most intimate and special days of peoples live, I KNOW she would've just shook her head at you and laughed! Photography brings out a side of me that truly makes me feel alive. It brings me so much joy to be able to capture those madly in love, families of 3 or 13, and seniors who are itching to begin their beautiful life. Capturing your story through timeless imagery and create lasting friendships with the people that I can’t believe I get to call 'clients'... just trying to figure out how God gave me this wonderful opportunity to be able to work with all of you! This job fits every inch of me from the editing, to creating, to meeting new people and traveling. I wish I could explain to you how excited I am to SERVE YOU and capture images you will look back on for the rest of your life, and they will simply bring the biggest smile to your face. lol i’m so in love with this job that I literally am crying as I write this. I’M SO THANKFUL! wow lex chill hahah!!!

Some of you may be saying, “Lexie what are you doing? You have no idea how to run a business, you're 18!” YOU GUYS first off, my creativity never shuts off. It will be 2AM and I’m literally sketching up designs for my next nail appointment or I am up until 3AM editing lol. Second off, I am a naturally born entrepreneur. If there’s something I want to do, I am GOING to do it no matter what! Ever since I was little, I would set up lemonade stands, play “own your own coffee shop” games online, and when I was twelve, I created a pie business during thanksgiving and ended up making 75 pies in one week… that was a timing and budget lesson for sure! I am an entrepreneur at heart and crave everything about being a business owner and absolutely love being one. Above all, I am a lover of Christ and I live for him. I have an identity in Him that isn’t shaped by the ways of the world, which lets me be 100% myself. My goal on this earth is to create human connection with others that represents Christlike love and to serve others. In October 2021, I plan to leave my business and everyone I love for a year and a half to go and serve the Lord full heartedly. I believe that the Lord will bless us for loving and caring for his children, and this job lets me do exactly that. I’m a firm believer in chasing your dreams and becoming the best person that you can be, and if I can encourage one more smile in a day, one more hug a day then all of this is worth it. :)
